Everton fan group The 27 Campaign announce protest will take place outside Goodison Park this Saturday as they insist standards of owner Farhad Moshiri 'fall well below the requirements of a modern football club'

Everton supporters will stage a protest against owner Farhad Moshiri on Saturday as frustration grows over the club's current direction.

The 27 Campaign have been vocal throughout the summer about their wishes for Moshiri and Bill Kenwright to leave the club, over what they percieve to be mismanagement at the top level.

Everton came perilously close to relegation from the Premier League for the first time last season, avoiding the drop with just one game to spare after a 3-2 victory over Crystal Palace on May 19.

The summer break has done little to ease tensions however, with top scorer Richarlison sold to Premier League rivals Tottenham, and no sign of a replacement arriving.
