Andros Townsend has thanked his mum for helping him rediscover his confidence after his sensational strike in Everton's 3-1 victory over Burnley on Monday Night Football.
Townsend, who moved to merseyside on a free transfer during the summer, was crucial in Everton's comeback after assisting the equaliser and scoring the second goal for the home team.
It was the Englishman's first goal in 36 Premier League appearances after the midfielder struggled to find form for Crystal Palace last season.
When speaking with Sky Sports after the game, he said: 'I have to give a shoutout to my mum here, during the week she sent me a compilation video of all my goals, she clipped them all together and told me I needed to believe in myself again.
