Emmanuel Adebayor is set to discuss personal terms and undergo a medical with Turkish Super Lig high flyers Istanbul Basaksehir.
The former Manchester City and Arsenal striker was in Istanbul to hold talks with league leaders Besiktas, however negotiations broke down over the player's wage demands.
The 32-year-old, who was released by Crystal Palace at the end of last season and has been without a club since, demanded a package worth £3million, but Besiktas were only willing to offer £2m for the player's services.

And that stumbling block has allowed Basaksehir to step in and swoop for the forward as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of an unlikely title push.
