With a 3-1 scoreline that flattered Leicester City a little, Crystal Palace faltered again thanks in part to wastefulness in front of goal and a porous defence. While the first and last 20 minutes of the encounter saw Palace push for goals, chances weren't taken while the Premier League champions were ruthless with theirs.
Positives
Palace started well, which had been a concern following the West Ham defeat, thanks mainly to Wilfried Zaha being a creative force on the wing for Palace. Yohan Cabaye also had a decent game, taking control of the midfield and scoring late in the tie.
