Crystal Palace boss Frank de Boer is planning a raid on his native Holland to sign Luuk de Jong from PSV Eindhoven.
Striker De Jong endured a miserable spell on loan at Newcastle in 2014 when he failed to score a goal.
The 26-year-old has since re-established his reputation to some degree at PSV, twice winning the title, but he scored only eight times in the Dutch Eredivisie last season.
German side Hannover 96 have also been linked with the Holland striker.
