Crystal Palace have been offered the chance to sign free agent striker Alberto Gilardino.
The 35-year-old won the World Cup with Italy in 2006 and the Champions League with AC Milan in 2007.
The former Italy international has been without a club since leaving Pescara last season, in which he only made three appearances.
Palace want a striker as cover following Christian Benteke's injury against Manchester City on September 23.
