Crystal Palace manager Sam Allardyce fears Mamadou Sakho has suffered a serious knee ligament damage which will bring his season to a premature end.
The French international, who has impressed since joining on loan from Liverpool in January, suffered the injury when he got his studs caught in the turf during the second-half of the 1-0 loss to Tottenham at Selhurst Park.
He left the field on a stretcher and wearing a knee brace, with Allardyce fearing he has suffered a serious injury as the club await the results of a scan.

‘It’s a ligament injury, which ligament we don't know,’ said Allardyce, who is already without centre-backs Scott Dann and James Tomkins through injury.
