Crystal Palace are considering a move for former AC Milan striker Alberto Gilardino to solve their goal scoring problems, sources in Italy have told ESPN FC.
New Palace boss Roy Hodgson is scouring the free agent market as he looks to add to his attacking options after losing No.1 striker Christian Benteke for at least six weeks with a knee injury.
Palace have failed to score a goal or earn a point from their opening seven Premier League games to leave them rooted to the bottom of the table, and Hodgson is desperate to bring in a striker to fill the void left by Benteke's injury.
