Crystal Palace have taken former Blackburn Rovers and Queens Park Rangers defender Chris Samba on trial as they weigh up a move, sources close to the club have told ESPN FC.
Samba, 32, is a free agent after leaving Panathinaikos last week and Palace are ready to offer him a return to the Premier League.
The Congo international struggled with fitness at the Greek club, making just two appearances after joining from Dinamo Moscow in August.
Samba has linked up with Palace for training so that they can assess his fitness and if he impresses he is likely to win a short-term deal at Selhurst Park.
