Crystal Palace have confirmed the appointment of Frank de Boer as their new first team manager with the Dutchman replacing Sam Allardyce after his shock departure in May.
De Boer has previously experienced managerial success with Ajax, winning four titles in the Dutch Eredivisie between 2011 and 2014.
Former Alaves manager Mauricio Pellegrino was also in the running for the Selhurst Park post before moving to Southampton but De Boer impressed chairman Steve Parish in what was a long and thorough search from the Eagles.
