Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew reveals Pape Souare suffered broken leg in motorway crash

Crystal Palace defender Pape Souare is set for a prolonged period out of action after breaking his leg in a motorway horror crash.

Souare was cut from the mangled wreckage of his £130,000 car by a team of rescuers following his horror crash on the M4 near Heathrow Airport on Sunday.

And Palace boss Alan Pardew has revealed the extent of the injuries suffered by the 26-year-old in the smash.

'He's not in a good way in terms of football; I think he's broken his leg so maybe not so good but thankfully he looks sound other than that, just a bit bashed up,' he told Sky Sports.
