Cardiff held Crystal Palace to a goalless draw at Selhurst Park to inch further away from the Premier League relegation zone.
After a tight first half, the hosts dominated in the second with Luka Milivojevic hitting the woodwork from a free-kick.
Yet Vicente Guaita saved the Eagles with a vital stop from Kadeem Harris to deny Cardiff who stay 17th, three points clear of the drop.
