BREAKING NEWS: Brendan Rodgers is SACKED by Leicester after their last-gasp defeat at Crystal Palace left the Foxes in the Premier League's drop zone as his three-year spell comes to a bitter end

Brendan Rodgers has been sacked by Leicester City following Saturday's 2-1 defeat by Crystal Palace that saw the Foxes drop into the Premier League relegation zone.

Rodgers' position as Leicester head coach was judged to have become unsalvageable following the club's 17th top-flight defeat of the season.

The 50-year-old oversaw 204 matches in charge of Leicester in all competitions and leaves having lead the club to a first-ever FA Cup title in 2021.

Leicester will now search for a suitable replacement to take charge until the end of the season with ten games left to salvage their Premier League future.
