MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – The Creighton women's tennis team fell to Minnesota, 6-1, on Friday afternoon at the Baseline Tennis Center in Minneapolis, Minn.
The Bluejays moved to 0-2 on the season following the loss, while the Golden Gophers improved to 4-0 overall.
Minnesota earned the doubles point with victories at the No. 1 and No. 3 positions. Creighton dropped a 6-3 decision on court No. 3 before falling 6-4 on court No. 1. Minnesota also held a 5-4 lead at the No. 2 doubles position before the other two matches were completed.
The Golden Gophers continued their success into singles play, claiming the overall match with victories at bottom five singles positions.
