NORMAN, Okla. -- Sarah Wilcox and Emma Gener each advanced to the Singles Main Draw with a pair of straight-sets victories in qualifying action on Thursday as the Creighton women's tennis team opened play at the ITA Central Regional, hosted by the University of Oklahoma.
Wilcox earned a 6-3, 6-2 win in the first round before collecting a 6-2, 6-4 win in the second round, while Gener started with a 6-2, 6-2 victory and ended the day with a 6-2, 6-1 win.
Wilcox and Gener join Creighton freshman Kate Krueger in the main draw round of 128.
