DES MOINES, Iowa -- The Creighton women's tennis team opened its fall schedule and picked up three victories in doubles play and one in singles action during the first day of the Drake Invitational at the Roger Knapp Tennis Center in Des Moines, Iowa on Friday.
Ashley Ishimura and Darby Rosette defeated the duo of Ella Mora and Marissa Baca from Northern Colorado 8-4 in Flight A doubles action.
Katherine Nelson and Michaela Henne also battled in the opening round of the Flight A bracket, but fell by a close 8-6 margin to Wichita State's Tanaporn Thongsing and Ting-Ya Hsu.
