ORLANDO, Fla. – The Creighton women's tennis team closed out its spring break trip to Florida with a 7-0 sweep of Saint Joseph's on Thursday morning at the USTA National Campus. The Bluejays ended the week with a 3-1 record, posting wins over Cedarville and Seton Hall.
With the sweep, Creighton improved to 8-5 on the year, while the Hawks fell to 2-7 overall.
The Bluejays did not drop a game during the top two doubles matches, cruising to an early 1-0 lead. Senior Malvika Shukla and junior Valerie Negin posted a dominant 6-0 win, earning their fifth consecutive victory at the top doubles position.
