MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The Creighton women's tennis team dropped a 6-2 decision to Marquette on Friday night at the Helfaer Tennis Stadium.
The loss drops the Bluejays to 9-5 on the year, while the Golden Eagles improved to 9-7 overall.
Marquette won 6-3 and 6-2 at the No. 1 and No. 3 spots during doubles action and earned three straight-sets victories and one three-set victories to claim the 5-2 win.
Creighton's Valerie Negin and Sarah Wilcox captured the Bluejays lone wins at the No. 2 and No. 3 single positions.
