ORLANDO, Fla. – The Creighton women's tennis team overpowered Seton Hall in a 5-2 victory in the BIG EAST opener on Tuesday afternoon at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Fla.
The Bluejays improved to 7-4 on the year and 1-0 in BIG EAST play, while the Pirates fell to 5-5 overall and 0-1 in league action.
"This was a gut check for us today," said head coach Tom Lilly. "We played some solid doubles and then Seton Hall came out tough in singles and we were behind in five of the first sets before settling in.
