STORRS, Conn. -- The Creighton women's soccer team dropped a tough 2-0 decision in the BIG EAST opener at Connecticut on Thursday, Sept. 21 at Joseph J. Morrone Stadium in Storrs, Conn.
The Bluejays played without the reigning BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week, , and dropped their record to 2-3-4 on the year and to 0-1-0 in BIG EAST play with the loss, while the Huskies improved to 4-2-2 overall and 1-0-0 in league play with the victory.
Connecticut controlled possession throughout much of the match, outshooting the Bluejays, 17-11. The Huskies also held an 8-4 edge in shots on goal while freshman goalkeeper collected six saves in her first collegiate start.
