PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Despite sophomore delivering her first career goal, the Creighton women's soccer team dropped a 3-1 decision at Providence on Sunday, Oct. 1.
The loss moved Creighton to 2-6-4 on the season and 0-4-0 in BIG EAST play, while Providence improved to 7-2-1 overall and 2-0-1 in conference action with the win.
The Bluejays fell behind in the 13th minute (12:26) of the match as Kyla Gallagher earned a penalty kick, drawing a foul inside the 18-yard box. The senior stepped in and converted the PK to give Providence a 1-0 lead.
