Omaha, Neb. -- Despite a first half goal from freshman , the Creighton women's soccer team suffered a 2-1 loss to Providence as the Bluejays honored their nine-person senior class on Saturday, Oct. 19th.
The loss dropped Creighton to 7-6-2 on the season and 1-3-2 in BIG EAST action, while Providence moved to 8-5-2 overall and 3-2-1 in conference play.
Creighton opened up the scoring in the 41st minute of the match. Sophomore sent a long pass into the box as Heinrich dashed down the center of the box to beat the Friars last line of defense.
