OMAHA, Neb. – Playing in front of the third largest home crowd in Morrison Stadium history (1,834), the Creighton women's soccer delivered a pair of second-half goals, including one in the 83rd minute to earn a 2-2 draw against Nebraska in the season-opener on Thursday, Aug. 17.
With the draw, Creighton (0-0-1) moves to 17-14-4 all-time in season opening matches, while moving to 3-4-2 in matches against the Cornhuskers.
Nebraska (0-0-1) blitzed out to an early 1-0 lead in the ninth minute as Eleanor Dale fired a shot into the back of the net for the first goal of the match.
