TROPHY CLUB, Texas – Sydney Gillespie paced the Creighton women's golf team for a second straight meet and guided the Bluejays to a seventh-place finish at the ORU/SFA Spring Break Invitational on Wednesday.
The meet was held at Trophy Club (Texas) Country Club, which played to a par 72 and 6,205 yards. The Bluejays posted a three-round total of 962 (333-317-312) at the event which was dual hosted by Oral Roberts and Stephen F. Austin.
Northern Iowa won the meet with a score of 922 (314-309-299), outdistancing second-place UT-Arlington by 22 strokes. UNI placed three golfers in the top-eight, led by the meet's runner up Paige Van Dyk's 226 (78-76-72).
