OKATIE, S.C. -- Freshman Katie Allen capped off one of the most impressive seasons in program history by helping the Creighton women's golf team to a fifth place finish at the BIG EAST Championship Presented by Jeep on Sunday.
Creighton's 958 total was its best 54-hole score in any league meet since a 946 total in the 2009 MVC Championships, and 35 shots better than last year's effort on the same course. In addition, the fifth place showing matched the program's best mark at a league championship in the last 25 years along with CU's final fifth place standing in the 2014 BIG EAST Championship and the 2005 MVC Championship.
