OMAHA, Neb. -- The Creighton women's basketball team finished off a 2-0 start to BIG EAST play with a come-from-behind 69-58 win over visiting Georgetown on Saturday, Dec. 30th.
The Bluejays are now 8-4 on the season, with Georgetown falling to 6-6 (1-1 BIG EAST).
The teams were tied at 15 after one quarter, but Dionna White and Mikayla Venson combined for 17 points in the second quarter to help the Hoyas take a 40-34 lead into the half.
Following the intermission seven quick points from Audrey Faber quickly erased that deficit as Creighton took its first lead since 26-25.
