Indianapolis, Ind. -- The Creighton women's basketball team suffered a 76-61 loss at Butler on Friday, Feb. 21st as the Bulldogs shot better than 50% from the field in the contest (28-of-55).
The loss dropped the Bluejays to 16-10 on the season and 8-7 in BIG EAST play, while Butler moved to 18-8 overall as 10-5 in conference action.
Leading the contest 8-7 (6:20) early in the opening quarter, Creighton found itself on the wrong side of a 12-0 Butler run over the next 5:57, trailing 19-8 before a driving layup from junior Temi Carda broke the Bluejay drought.
