Winters in the Sept. 23 game against Marquette. Creighton swept the Golden Eagles 3-0.
Senior outside hitter Jaali Winters set a new Creighton volleyball all-time kills record on Sunday against St. John’s.
The previous record of 1,622 career kills, held by Leah Ratzlaff ‘05, was broken by Winters on the way to a 3-0 victory for the Jays.
Winters tied the record as the Jays found themselves behind 7-5 during the second set, as she stopped a scoring attempt from St. John’s. She sent it to junior setter Madelyn Cole who set it back up for Winters before she powered it to the back of the Red Storm’s playing area.
