MILWAUKEE, Wis. -- The No. 17 Creighton Volleyball team won its fourth straight BIG EAST Championships with a 3-2 win over Marquette on Saturday at Al McGuire Center in Milwaukee, Wis.
Scores of the match in favor of Creighton were 22-25, 25-18, 23-25,25-17, 15-11.
Creighton (25-6) is the first team since Notre Dame (1995-98) to win four consecutive BIG EAST Championships. Marquette dropped to 22-9 with the loss but is still likely to receive and at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament..
Creighton raced to a 12-7 lead in the opening set, as three early Jaali Winters kills helped to force a Marquette timeout.
