WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The No. 10 Creighton Volleyball team won its seventh straight match on Friday with a 3-0 victory at third-place Georgetown.
Scores of the match in favor of league-leading Creighton (15-4, 7-0 BIG EAST) were 25-17, 25-20, 25-15. Georgetown dropped to 12-8 overall and 5-3 in the BIG EAST, but still owns its most wins and league wins since 2011.
Creighton trailed 6-5 early in the first set before senior Samantha Bohnet embarked on a 6-0 serving run. The Bluejays would not be threatened after that, as both Megan Ballenger and Jaali Winters provided five kills and Madelyn Cole added nine assists and five digs to lead a Bluejay offense that hit .
