INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- The No. 23 Creighton Volleyball team swept Butler on Friday to open its first and only BIG EAST road series of the season. Scores of the match in favor of Creighton were 25-16, 25-17, 25-16.
Creighton improved to 7-2 on the year and is 4-1 in BIG EAST action. Butler is now 4-7 and 1-4 in BIG EAST play.
Creighton had little trouble with the Bulldogs in the first set, bolting to a 16-8 lead of an eventual 25-16 victory. Jaela Zimmerman had seven kills and hit .778 to lead a Bluejay attack that hit .
