OMAHA, Neb. -- The Creighton volleyball team has begun training for its upcoming trip to Europe, which begins on June 10 and will last 11 days before the team returns home on June 21.
The team will spend multiple nights in Venice (Italy), Maribor (Slovenia), Budapest (Hungary), and Prague (Czech Republic) with day trips to Bled (Slovenia) and Vienna (Austria) also on the docket. The student-athletes on the team will prepare for the trip with a class being taught by Faculty Athletic Representative Dr. Neil Norton.
The trip calls for the team to play five matches while abroad (June 13, 14, 15, 17, 20), including several against national teams, but also have plenty of adventures off the court to enhance and enrich the experience of the student-athletes and staff.
