OMAHA, Neb. – Creighton Athletics fans won't have to reset their radio dials for the next three years, although they will have another station to add.
Omaha's top-ranked radio station for sports and sports talk—1620 The Zone—was chosen by and has signed a three-year extension with Creighton Athletics. The deal gives The Zone exclusive rights to broadcast play-by-play for all home and away games for the Creighton Bluejays men's basketball team, as well as all pre-game and post-game coverage.
"Working with NRG Media and 1620 The Zone has been tremendous for our athletic department, including the men's basketball program," said Greg McDermott, head coach of the Creighton Bluejays men's basketball team.
