Sometime after Marcus Zegarowski signed his letter of intent to play at Creighton, Greg McDermott decided to make a trip out to Rhode Island to check in on his future floor general. That nearly turned into nothing more than wasted jet fuel, however, as Zegarowski was so angry that his team had lost that he almost didn’t even come out to shake hands and shoot the breeze. He eventually got over it enough to greet the head ball coach of the Bluejays, and it’s a moment that still makes McDermott laugh even today.
