VILLANOVA, Pa. -- The Creighton softball team lost twice against the Villanova Wildcats on Saturday afternoon in Villanova, Pa. The Wildcats defeated the Bluejays by scores of 5-3 and 7-0.
Creighton is now 11-22 overall and 2-6 in BIG EAST play, while Villanova is 19-12 overall and 4-4 in league action.
Sam Dellinger and Anna O'Gorman combined to go 5-for-6 with three RBIs and two runs scored during the first game of the day, but the rest of the Bluejays offense recorded only two hits during the two-run loss.
Dellinger and O'Gorman tallied consecutive two-out singles during the first inning before a strikeout ended the frame.
