SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- The Creighton softball team set a program record with 24 runs against Toledo, but settled for a split during two games on Saturday at the H-E-B Classic in San Antonio.
The Bluejays reversed a 2-0 shutout by the Rockets on Friday with a 24-1 victory on Saturday, while Creighton also fell 5-3 to Texas Southern.
The previous Bluejay record for runs in a game was 20 against College of Saint Mary on Feb. 9, 2000.
Creighton jumped out to a 20-0 edge with seven runs in the first inning and 13 in the second frame against Toledo.
