OMAHA, Neb. -- The Creighton softball run-ruled Nebraska, 9-1, on Tuesday night at the Creighton Sports Complex. Tuesday's victory marked the Bluejays' first against the Huskers since their 2-1 win on April 25, 2012.
Creighton improved to 12-17 this season and snapped a six-game losing streak, while Nebraska fell to 13-23.
The Bluejays also run-ruled their in-state rivals for the first time since April 9, 2008 (13-1).
Creighton fell behind early as Nebraska scored once with a RBI double in the top of the first before the Bluejays scored nine unanswered runs, including five in the bottom of the first.
