CHICAGO, Ill. -- The Creighton softball team fell 10-2 in five innings to DePaul during the series finale on Sunday in Chicago.
The Bluejays dropped to 8-7 in BIG EAST play and 13-12 overall, while the Blue Demons improved to 10-1 in league action and 19-9 overall.
DePaul scored eight runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to break a 2-2 tie and pull away. The Blue Demons posted five hits in the inning, including a two-out grand slam off from Nicole Sullivan.
Creighton jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the first frame.
