OMAHA, Neb. – The Creighton softball team jumped out to a 3-2 lead before falling 9-4 in the series opener to DePaul on Friday afternoon at the Creighton Sports Complex.
The Bluejays fall to 14-26 on the year and 4-16 in BIG EAST play, while DePaul improves to 25-20 overall and 13-6 in league play, holding on to the fourth spot in the BIG EAST standing.
Junior struck out two during the top half of the first before the Bluejays gained a 1-0 edge in the bottom half of the frame.
Junior worked a five-pitch walk, while classmate delivered a single to center, moving Alm to second.
