OMAHA, Neb. -- The Creighton softball team dropped a pair of games to St. John's on Saturday afternoon at the Creighton Sports Complex. The Red Storm defeated the Bluejays 10-1 in five innings during game one before picking up an 11-7 victory in the second contest.
Creighton is now 11-19 overall and 2-3 in BIG EAST play, while St. John's is 17-10 and 5-0 in league play.
The Red Storm scored eight runs on only three hits during the second inning of the first game to take an early 9-0 lead. Brittany Garcia's home run to center field capped the inning.
