OMAHA, Neb. – The Creighton softball team dropped the series finale to Providence, 10-7, on Sunday afternoon at the Creighton Sports Complex.
The Bluejays fall to 13-11 on the year and 3-4 in BIG EAST play, while the Friars improved to 18-9 overall and 5-4 in conference action.
Providence wasted no time taking an 4-0 lead in the top of the first inning, as the first five Friar batters reached base. Jacque Harrington drew a leadoff walk before Rachael Petrarca, Kari Shedrick and Tori Grifone each singled to plate the first run of the game.
