OMAHA, Neb. -- The Creighton softball team fell 10-5 to UConn during the series finale on Sunday at the Creighton Sports Complex.
After a 1-2 showing during the home-opening weekend against the Huskies, the Bluejays moved their league record to 3-3 and overall mark to 7-7, while the Huskies improved to 2-1 in league action and 9-10 overall after claiming two out of three games in Omaha.
Kiara Mills and Kailey Wilson each homered for Creighton during the setback. Mills hit a two-run homer in the fifth for her second of the season, and Wilson launched her team-leading fourth of the year with a solo shot in the bottom of the seventh.
