INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Despite a solid pitching performance, the Creighton Softball dropped a 1-0 decision at Butler on Friday afternoon in Indianapolis, Ind.
The loss dropped the Bluejays to 25-19 overall and to 9-7 in BIG EAST play, while Butler, improved to 20-23 on the year and 9-10 in league action with the win.
Bluejays starter pitcher sophomore Natalia Puchino allowed just one run on five hits and a walk during six innings of work but ended the game as the hard-luck loser. Creighton had three players with one hit each, as Lily West, Sydra Seville and Mikayla Chairez each recorded base knocks.
