PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Creighton softball team fell twice to Providence on Saturday during a doubleheader at Glay Field in Providence, R.I.
The Frairs claimed a 2-1 victory in game one before run-ruling the Bluejays 11-3 in five innings during game two.
Creighton dropped to 8-9 in BIG EAST play and 18-28 overall, while Providence improved to 7-10 in league action and 19-23 overall.
After winning their past four one-run BIG EAST contests, the Bluejays lost by a single run during the first game of Saturday's double-dip.
Providence and Creighton combined to leave six runners on base during the first two innings.
