LINCOLN, Neb. – The Creighton softball team fell to Nebraska 6-2 on Wednesday night at Bowlin Stadium during the first meeting in Lincoln between the Bluejays and Huskers since 2015.
The Bluejays moved to 11-10 while Nebraska improved to 21-9.
Creighton lead-off hitter Ashley Cantu started the top of the first inning with an infield hit and Hope Moreno singled with two outs but the Bluejays did not break into the run column.
The Huskers opened the home half of the first frame with a pair of RBI singles to take a 2-0 lead.
