OMAHA, Neb. – The Creighton softball team fell to Omaha, 5-2, on Tuesday night at Connie Claussen Field in a midweek battle of crosstown rivals.
The loss drops the Bluejays to 21-15 on the year, while the Mavericks improved to 26-7 overall, winning their 15th consecutive game.
Omaha placed the first dent on the scoreboard, scoring one in the top of the first inning to take an early 1-0 lead. Following a Maggie O'Brien single to left, Sydney Thomason lined an RBI double into the left centerfield gap to bring home the first run of the game.
