CHICAGO, Ill. -- The Creighton softball team dropped both games of a doubleheader against league-leader DePaul on Saturday afternoon. The Blue Demons earned a 6-0 shutout victory in game one before securing a 4-1 win in the second game.
The Bluejays moved their season record to 8-6 in BIG EAST play and 13-10 overall, while the Blue Demons improved to 9-1 in league play and 18-9 overall. Saturday marked the first time Creighton lost both games of a BIG EAST doubleheader this season.
DePaul scored three runs in the first inning to take early control during the first game of the doubleheader.
