Plymouth Meeting, Pa. -- Powered by a six-run ninth inning, the Creighton Baseball team downed Villanova 10-4 in the opening game of a doubleheader on Saturday, April 30. Closer was the hero on the mound, tossing the final 2.1 innings to earn his third victory of the season.
Creighton moved to 29-9 on the season and 7-1 in BIG EAST play with the win, while Villanova fell to 15-27 overall and 3-8 in conference play.
