OMAHA, Neb. -- A late first half goal from freshman was all the Bluejay defense needed as the Creighton women's soccer team closed out non-conference play with a 1-0 shutout victory over South Dakota State on Friday night in Morrison Stadium.
The win moved Creighton to 2-2-4 on the year, while the Jackrabbits fell to 7-2-0.
South Dakota State finished the match with a 12-7 edge in shots and a slim 5-4 advantage in corner kicks, while graduate goalkeeper need just two saves to earn the 16th shutout of her career.
