DES MOINES, Iowa -- Creighton men's tennis sophomores Shin Inoue and Zack Maline each won singles championship titles on Sunday during the final day of the Drake Invitational in Des Moines, Iowa.
Inoue needed three sets to win the Flight F crown. The Japan native won the first set 6-4, fell in a tiebreaker during the second and outlasted Drake's Gabriel Sardo 10-4 in a 10-point tiebreaker to decide the title.
Maline defeated his opponent in straight sets to take Flight H. The California native earned a 6-4, 6-4 win against Elijah Zifferblatt (Marquette).
